
LAS VEGAS (July 25, 2011) – At both Andre’s at Monte Carlo Resort and Casino and Alizé at the Top of the Palms, the wine collection is vast. With so many selections, guests now will find it easier than ever to select the perfect wine accompaniment to Andre’s imaginative French cuisine beginning this evening, Monday, July 25 with the use of SmartCellar. The new technology allows diners to make wine selections from an Apple® iPad®. Once Andre’s and Alizé launches with 40 of the SmartCellar devices, they will be amongst the first restaurants in Las Vegas currently utilizing this technology.
How it works: upon seating, instead of a printed wine list, guests will be offered an easy-to-navigate iPad, immediately enabling them to browse and select a wine based on sparkling, red, white, fortified or sweet. They also will be able to choose if they would like the wine by the bottle, half bottle, by the glass or a larger format. Additional touch-pad links will include the ability to search wines by name, region, varietal and price. The device also will feature premium liquors, beers, specialty cocktails, food pairings, menu items and any additional beverages offered that evening at Andre’s. The sommelier will be able to also use the device to educate diners on the wines and make recommendations utilizing the device in hand.
