Best French Restaurant
Readers’ Pick: André’s French Restaurant
Here, in a converted wood-frame house on a downtown side street, André’s serves classic French cuisine in dining rooms furnished with country antiques. Appetizers include smoked baby coho salmon with dill sauce; smoked trout with remoulade sauce; three pates with black currant sauce; and snails en croute maison. Main entrees include frogs’ legs; imported Dover sole; stuffed Australian lobster tail; and stuffed pork tenderloin with apple and walnuts. There’s also an extensive wine cellar for the well-seasoned connoisseur.
Best Restaurant to Impress a Date
Readers’ Pick: André’s French Restaurant
Fine French food, fine wine, fine service in a fine atmosphere; no wonder readers once again picked André’s. Go ahead, kiss her (or his) hand; you’ll fit right in. There’s another location in the Monte Carlo on the Strip.
