Esteemed culinary reviewer and resource guide, Frommers, has again awarded Alizé 3 of 3 possible stars

Says Frommers editor Rick Garman:

“Alizé is just a perfect restaurant, thanks to a combination of the most divine dining room and view in Vegas, not to mention one of the best chefs in Vegas. Situated at the top of the Palms hotel, three sides of full-length windows allow a panoramic view of the night lights of Vegas; obviously, window-side tables are best, but even seats in the center of the room have a good view.

“Many great chefs have restaurants locally but are rarely in their kitchens (we love Emeril and Wolfgang, but they can’t be in 25 different places at once). This operation is carefully overseen by André Rochat, longtime Vegas restaurateur who started with the eponymous (and sadly, long-closed) Andre’s in Downtown. The menu here changes seasonally, but this is a close-your-eyes-and-point kind of place; anything you order will be heavenly. If you can swing the $135, go for the tasting menu, which will give you the best broad view of the cuisine; if not, go a la carte and go home happy.

“A recent visit included a divine pork belly appetizer, served in a sweet apple–and-cream sauce; an insanely rich Maine lobster and tomato bisque; and two cuts of beef—a filet in a green-peppercorn crust and cognac cream sauce and a rib-eye with a smoky pinot noir glaze—that would shame the best of steakhouses in Vegas. Desserts are similarly outstanding and often of great frivolity, such as an inside-out raspberry cheesecake (cubes with graham cracker crust on the outside, raspberry compote inside) and mint chocolate mousse.”
