The first ever Lifetime Achievement Award was awarded to Chef André Rochat by the Nevada Restaurant Association for the extraordinary shifts he has created in the Las Vegas culinary landscape from 1980 forward.
On Wednesday, October 29, 2014, the Nevada Restaurant Association celebrated the state’s industry leaders at the annual Culinary Excellence Awards Gala. At that time, Chef André Rochat received the Lifetime Achievement Award, the first award of its kind. The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an individual who has performed an outstanding service and accomplishment spanning a career in the restaurant industry … an individual who is truly extraordinary and widely recognized as such with an unusually successful positive and lasting quality.
Chef Andre´Rochat was specifically selected because of his commitment to promoting, protecting and educating the restaurant industry, as well as for his extensive community involvement and leadership in the Las Vegas culinary world.
